Description

The colour is doing all the heavy lifting here — a warm taupe with the softest peach undertone running through it, the kind of neutral that turns out to go with absolutely everything in your wardrobe. The Sertra is confidently high-waisted, falls in a wide, generous leg from hip to ankle, and has the classic five-pocket construction you want from a proper jean. Plenty of stretch in the denim, a soft worn-in finish, and a silhouette that's elegant without trying too hard.

The little extra: tucked through one of the belt loops is a sweet braided charm with a small tassel — call it a flourish, call it a key fob, call it whatever you like. One of our customers, Vicky, untied hers and gave it to her daughter. You might hang it from your handbag, clip it to your keys, or leave it sitting on the belt loop where it started. A cute little finishing touch either way.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

  • Sizing: 34, 36, 38, 40, 42 (European jean sizing — roughly a UK 6/8 through to a UK 14/16)
  • Hil (5'3", UK 10/12): wearing the 38 — the confidently high waist is a friend here, smoothing and lifting rather than nipping. On a more bloated day she'd happily go up to the 40 and still feel held in.
  • Sue (5'0", between a UK 6 and a UK 8): wearing the 34 and says they're true to size. A full-length wide leg isn't Sue's usual silhouette (she lives in her cropped Keiras from Toxik), but the 34 fits her perfectly.
  • Stretch and fit: plenty of stretch in the denim, so they give and recover beautifully through hip and thigh. Wide leg jeans look best worn long — pick your footwear before you hem.
Why We Love It

That soft peach-toned taupe is the smartest neutral in the wardrobe right now — quieter than black, warmer than grey, and it plays beautifully with cream, brown, ochre, and softer pinks. The confidently high waist genuinely flatters (we've tried it on, we know), there's enough stretch in the denim to make them feel like a treat to wear, and that small braided charm is the kind of tiny detail that makes the whole thing feel considered rather than mass-produced.
Styling Suggestions
  • Hil would wear: exactly as the model has them — tucked into a fitted ribbed vest in cream or taupe, with a tan leather slide sandal and gold hoops. For cooler days, a linen shirt half-tucked with the sleeves rolled. Always with the waist on show, always with something fitted on top to balance the volume below.
  • Sue would wear: if she strayed from her cropped Keiras — a cropped vest layered over a longer one, chunky boots or trainers, and her usual stack of gold (gold hoops, a gold chain or two, a gold charm or three). Sue would absolutely repurpose the braided charm onto a belt or a small cross-body bag.
