Description

The Marinia Sweatshirt from Saint Tropez in Mulch is a considered everyday sweatshirt in the season's absolute best warm-brown shade — Mulch, a rich chocolate-mushroom that sits directly in our bitter chocolate cross-brand family. Even though it's Saint Tropez (not one of our other Bitter Chocolate brands), the shade is very much in that wheelhouse.

The design is properly done everyday: a considered classic sweatshirt in a warm-tone that reads elevated rather than gym-adjacent. Sits at the hip, drops from the shoulders, layers over everything.

Fabric-wise: 65% cotton, 35% polyester — cotton leads for that lovely soft brushed hand-feel against the skin, blended with polyester for shape retention and everyday resilience. No lining — this is a proper standalone sweat weight. Machine washable at everyday care settings.

A lovely sizing story: both Hil AND Sue wear the Small on this one — but they wear it differently. Hil likes it neat — the Small sits snug and considered on her frame. Sue likes it a little oversized — the Small on her petite frame reads slouchy-cool, exactly the sweatshirt-fit she wants. Two women, same size, two considered ways to wear it.

The bitter chocolate cross-brand family on site: our Sabriel Puffer in Dark Oak (Saint Tropez sister), Y London Perfect Tank in Bitter Chocolate, Suzy D Douceur in Bitter Chocolate, Lilja Crinkle Long-Sleeve in Chocolate Brown, and the Rino & Pelle Jaike Lace Blouse in Chocolate Bean and Nobody's Child V-Neck Collared Jumper in Brown Striped. Build a proper tonal chocolate winter capsule.

  • Both Hil AND Sue wear the Small — but they wear it differently
  • Hil (S) likes it neat — the Small sits snug and considered on her frame
  • Sue (S) likes it a little oversized — the Small on her petite frame reads slouchy-cool
  • Fit note: the Small is a lovely middle-ground fit that works both ways depending on your frame and how you like a sweatshirt to sit
Why We Love It
  • Mulch is the sweatshirt shade of the season — rich chocolate-mushroom, sits in the bitter-chocolate cross-brand family
  • Elevated rather than gym-adjacent — this is a considered everyday sweat that lifts a casual outfit
  • Cotton-led fabrication — that lovely soft brushed hand-feel against the skin
  • The one-size-two-ways moment — both Hil AND Sue wear the Small, styled differently
  • Cross-brand bitter chocolate capsule — cross-plays beautifully with the Sabriel Puffer, Perfect Tank, Douceur, Lilja Long-Sleeve, and the wider chocolate family
  • Everyday, considered, wearable — the sort of piece you'll reach for weekly through autumn and winter
Styling Suggestions
  • Hil wears it (S, neat) with her Toxik Chocolate Barrel jeans for a tone-on-tone chocolate moment, ankle boots and gold hoops
  • Sue wears it (S, slouchy) over her Toxik Maya or Toxik Colette jeans, chunky trainers — the slightly-oversized fit is her signature register
  • Under a wool coat — camel, cream, chocolate or black — the sweatshirt makes the outfit feel considered rather than office-ready
  • With wide-leg tailored trousers and ankle boots — the polished-casual daytime move (sweatshirt as considered top half)
  • With midi skirt — a sweatshirt over a considered skirt reads modern polish
  • Full bitter-chocolate capsule: under the Sabriel Puffer, alongside your Chocolate Barrels, considered tonal chocolate weekend commitment
  • The everyday-workhorse: over jeans with a considered accessory (Alullu Scarf, gold hoops) and ankle boots — a sweatshirt that reads considered rather than lazy
