A proper drama queen of a blouse, and we love her for it. The Apricot Sky comes in a bright, almost orangey red that genuinely lifts a complexion — cropped, button-through, with the same sculptural ruffle-cap sleeves you'll know from the Sofia bow blouse, but this time built out with a structured crinoline trim hidden inside the ruffle that holds the shape proudly out from the shoulder.

The finishing details are the bit that takes it from fun to genuinely smart: a pleated pink contrast trim running along the collar, and twin pink floral motifs across the front yoke. It's cut in a soft 55% Lyocell, 45% Cotton blend, so for all the structure on the outside, it feels lovely and breathable on.

One styling tip — if the shoulder drama feels too much for the day, a quick steam or iron through the ruffles softens them down beautifully. Keep them sharp for full theatre, or relax them for everyday. Either is right.

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Hil (5'3", size 10/12, apple-shaped, 34EE bust): in the S or the M, depending on how she wants it to fit. She'd most likely take the S, tuck it firmly into a high-waist trouser and undo a good couple of buttons at the front to open the neckline up. The crinoline ruffles do add volume across the shoulders — if that's too much, a steam or iron through them softens them right down.
Sue (5'0", size 6): in the S — the sculptural sleeves don't swamp her petite frame, they frame it.

The cotton-Lyocell blend has no stretch but a soft, supple feel. Stick to your usual size unless you need extra room across the bust.

The red is the kind of red that lifts a complexion in a way black never will, and the pink contrast trim stops it tipping into Strictly territory. The crinoline-built sleeves are properly sculptural, the fabric is soft and lightly eco — and if you want the drama dialled down, a quick steam through the ruffles does the trick. Real wardrobe presence either way.

Hil (size S): tucked firmly into a high-waist cream wide-leg trouser, the top two or three buttons undone to give her the open V she likes, tan belt at her true waist, gold hoops, a tan sandal. Let the red do the talking.
Sue (size S): tucked into her cropped Keira jeans from Toxik, stacked boots, layered gold necklaces and her gold hoops. A denim jacket round the shoulders if she's feeling boho.
