Mid-rise elasticated waist, straight leg, and that slightly giving fabric that makes them as comfortable as they are striking. Not jeans. Not quite smart trousers. Somewhere better than both.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in the shade. Iron at a maximum of 110°C. Wash with similar colours.

Why We Love It

Velvet in this shade of brown is just one of those things that looks expensive and feels comfortable, and the elastic waist is a gift when you actually want to sit down and enjoy yourself. Hil went straight for these. Autumnal dressing done properly: not overdone, not boring. Sue layers a loose cami underneath and throws a big knit on top. The result is perfect and she knows it.

Styling Suggestions

Hil wears these with a silky cami in cream or rust, a statement knit over the top, and the Earring Lizzy for the full autumn moment. The Crochet Detail Coat in Navy over the top when it gets cold: navy and brown is a very good combination. Sue pairs hers with a loose cami and reaches for one of the WoolOvers knits, letting the velvet trouser be the main event. These work especially well with warm caramel, rust, burgundy, and chocolate tones up top.
