  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

The Sadie has a more structured fit across the bust, so sizing is important here.

  • Sue (5'0", UK size 6) wears the UK 8. It fits neatly across her bust and falls to a true maxi length on her petite frame.
  • Hil (5'3", UK 10/12) prefers the UK 12 in this style due to the neater bust fit. If she sized down to the 10, it would feel snug across the chest. So if you’re between sizes or fuller busted, we recommend sizing up.

Because it’s fully lined and more tailored through the top, it doesn’t have the same flexibility as ruched-back styles.

General Rule: With woven, structured dresses that don’t offer stretch across the bust, always choose your size based on your fullest measurement. You want it to glide, not pull.
