Personal Styling

A 90-minute private appointment with Sue, in our shop in Neston, CH64, on the borders of Wirral and Cheshire.

We call it Personal Styling, but really this session is all about your style personality. It's the part of you that walks into a shop and is instantly drawn to certain pieces, and walks straight past others without a second glance. Understand it, and shopping suddenly gets a whole lot easier (and cheaper, because you stop buying things you never wear).

Why Sue?

Sue trained at the London College of Style, where she earned a top-ranking diploma, so she's earned her stripes (and her polka dots). She has a brilliant eye for spotting what makes you, you.

The six style personalities

Most of us have one dominant style personality, often with a second one sneaking in at the edges:

• Classic: polished, timeless and always put together. Think tailoring, crisp shirts and a good coat.
• Natural: relaxed and comfortable, with easy shapes and soft textures. Effortless, never fussy.
• Romantic: soft, pretty and feminine. Florals, lace, flowing fabrics and gentle detail.
• Dramatic: bold, confident and made to be noticed. Strong colour, statement pieces and a bit of glamour.
• Creative: individual and expressive. Mixing prints, eras and colours in a way that's entirely your own.
• Elegant: refined, sophisticated and quietly luxurious. Clean lines and beautiful fabrics.

Hil, of course, is a Dramatic. Who knew? Sue, on the other hand, definitely leans towards the Romantic. Put them in the same shop and they'll head for opposite rails, and both look fabulous.

What happens in your appointment

Sue spends 90 minutes getting to know you: what you love, what you wear, what you never wear and why. She'll work out your dominant style personality, and any others that come into play. Then she shows you what that means in real life, which shapes, fabrics, prints and details will make you feel most like yourself. You'll learn what style works for you, and why.

The shop to yourself

We hold most of these appointments on a Monday, when the shop is closed to everyone else. Once Sue knows your style personality, she'll walk you round the rails and pick out the pieces that speak to it, so you can try them on and feel the difference for yourself.

Simply buy your session here, and we'll be in touch to arrange a time. Because we mostly hold these appointments on Mondays, we sometimes work to quite a long lead time, so it's well worth booking early.
