A properly clever pair of jeans. The Patricia from Saint Tropez — the Danish label that does romantic-meets-relaxed beautifully — takes a classic high-rise straight-leg silhouette and prints it in a tiny black polka dot on a soft turtledove cream base. The result reads as denim from a distance and reads as properly interesting up close — much more grown-up and considered than your standard summer jean.

Hil (UK 10/12, 5'3"): takes the Medium. The high rise supports her tummy, the straight leg flatters her shape — but these run long, so she pairs them with a kitten heel or low block to keep the hem clear of the floor.
Sue (UK 6, 5'0"): takes the XS. At 5'0" the length really does need a heel underneath — a stacked boot or chunky leather sandal with a small platform works beautifully.
General note: 100% cotton has no stretch, so size for the seated waist measurement, not the standing one. The cotton will soften and mould to your shape over the first few wears.
