First things first: "String" is just the name of the colour. It's not made of string. We promise. It's a soft, creamy natural shade, somewhere between oatmeal and fresh cream, and it's lovely.

This lounge set from b.young has a gorgeous, almost waffly texture that's soft and cosy against your skin, with pretty frilled edges at the hems and cuffs. There's a relaxed, round-neck long-sleeved top and wide-leg trousers with a comfortable waist you can adjust with the drawstring. Perfect for slow mornings, lazy Sundays and, of course, Christmas Day pyjamas all the way to lunch.

It also makes the perfect Christmas gift, and it's practically wrapped already. The trousers and top come folded into a neat little stack and tied with a ribbon, so it's ready to pop straight under the tree.

Also available in Port Royale, a deep burgundy.

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.
