For Hil (5'3", UK 10/12): Hil wears the UK 12 in this style, as she is fuller through the bust. The shirring gives flexibility, but she prefers the extra room for comfort and the best fit across the chest.

For Sue (5'0", UK size 6): Sue wears the UK 8 for a neat fit through the bodice, with the skirt falling into that easy, floaty shape she loves.

General Rule: If you are fuller in the bust, we recommend sizing up to ensure the shirring sits comfortably under the bust for the most flattering empire line. The cotton has no stretch beyond the shirring but will soften beautifully with wear.
