Meet the new Toxik Asymmetric Waistband Jeans — the effortlessly cool wide-leg jean with that fashion-forward crossed waistband detail that instantly elevates your everyday denim. Straight from Paris and designed in the signature stretch denim we all know and love from Toxik, these jeans bring a directional feel whilst still being incredibly wearable.

The asymmetric fastening gives them that slightly undone, designer-inspired edge, whilst the soft stretch denim keeps them comfortable enough for all-day wear. They’re wide through the leg, flattering through the waist and hips, and just feel incredibly modern without trying too hard.

If you loved the Louis asymmetric skirt from My Essential Wardrobe, this is very much the jean version of that vibe.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

These are a wide-leg fit, so if you’re normally a skinny jean devotee, don’t panic — the stretch keeps them really flattering through the top half.

• Sue (5’0”, UK 6) would wear the 34 for a relaxed but still fitted feel through the waist and hips. She’d keep the styling slimmer on top to balance the wider leg.

• Hil (5’3”, UK 10/12) would choose the 38 for the perfect comfortable fit through the waistband whilst still keeping that lovely drape through the leg.

Because they contain stretch, they mould beautifully to the body as you wear them. If you’re between sizes and prefer a neater fit around the waist, you could size down. If you like a more relaxed, slouchy denim look, stay true to size.

General rule with denim: stretch styles will give slightly with wear, whilst still holding their shape beautifully throughout the day.

We love that these jeans manage to feel trend-led whilst still being genuinely wearable. The asymmetric waistband gives them a premium designer feel, but the soft stretch denim keeps them easy and comfortable. They instantly make a simple knit or blazer feel more fashion-forward without being intimidating.

And honestly? Toxik denim just fits beautifully — every single time.

Hil’s Look – Polished Parisian: Hil would style these with a fitted black blazer, a silky vest tucked into that fabulous waistband detail, statement earrings, and a heeled ankle boot. She’d absolutely lean into the chic Parisian feel of these jeans with a bold lip and structured handbag.

Sue’s Look – Relaxed Saint Laurent Energy: Sue would wear them with a slouchy knit pushed off one shoulder slightly, stacked boots, layered necklaces, and possibly a long wool coat thrown over the top. She’d keep the styling effortless and slightly undone to work with the asymmetric detail.

These also look brilliant with a simple white tee and trainers if you want to let the waistband do all the talking.

Because the waistband is the star here, we’d definitely recommend a little front tuck or a shorter knit so you can actually see the asymmetric detail properly.
