Description

Is it a hoodie? Is it a gilet? Is it a cardigan? Yes. The Luxe Hooded Gilet from Y London is a soft, fluffy knit in the most glorious Forever Green, a proper emerald that makes everything else in your wardrobe look a bit beige.

It has a drawstring hood, pearly buttons down the front, short cap sleeves and a ribbed hem, so you can layer it over long sleeves without any bulky arm business. There's mohair in it, which gives it that soft, fuzzy halo and lovely warmth without the weight. Cosy enough for a crisp autumn walk, smart enough for lunch out.

Layering is the whole point here. Try it over our Ulissy Lace Edged Top, so a little scallop of lace peeks out at the neck and the hem. Very pretty. Very "I just threw this on". (You didn't.) Prefer blue? It also comes in Boosted Blue.

Composition: 40% mohair, 10% wool, 20% polyamide, 30% acrylic.

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

One size, which fits up to a UK 16. How it fits really depends on the look you want.

  • On a UK 8 frame it will be lovely and loose, which makes it a beautiful layering piece. Pop a blouse or shirt underneath and let the collar and cuffs peek out.
  • On a UK 16 it absolutely still works, but it comes up neater, so you won't want lots of layers underneath. A fine long-sleeved top is perfect.
