Knitted in Britain in small batches from a beautifully soft vegan-friendly yarn, it has a relaxed, intentionally oversized fit with ribbed neckline, cuffs and hem, and sits as comfortably over wide-leg trousers as it does with your favourite jeans. Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

This jumper is intentionally oversized — that's the design. Hil wears a Small, Sue wears an XS; both are in their usual size for the relaxed look Cara intended. Size down if you prefer things a little neater. XS = UK 4–6 | S = UK 8–10 | M = UK 12–16 | L = UK 18–22.

Why We Love It

Cara Granger founded Cara & The Sky in 2019 because she couldn't find the colourful knitwear she wanted to wear — so she made it herself. She's a former fashion buyer, a mum of two, and effectively a one-woman band producing bold, joyful knitwear in the UK in small batches. Buying Lucky means supporting all of that: British manufacturing, independent female-founded design, and someone who decided that if the high street wasn't going to offer colour and personality, she'd just do it herself. The yarn is vegan-friendly, the packaging is sustainably made, the whole thing is produced in a SEDEX-approved factory. This is dopamine dressing with a conscience.

Styling Suggestions

Hil wears hers in a Small with her Alder Jean Wide Leg in Burgundy — the pink and burgundy together is exactly the kind of colour-clash-that-works that Cara would approve of. She layers the Sabriel Jacket in Dark Oak over the top for those days when autumn hasn't quite committed yet: the deep earthy oak grounds the whole look beautifully.

Sue wears hers in an XS with her knitted skirt from My Essential Wardrobe, tights, and her stacked olive boots — layered autumn texture at its best. Both wear their usual size, both wearing it the way it was designed to be worn.
