The Jovie Shorts in Navy Stripe from Betty Basics are effortless, easy and exactly what you want to be wearing when the temperature rises. Designed with comfort at the forefront but still looking polished, these are your throw-on-and-go heroes.

Even better? We have the matching shirt in the Betty Basics range — so you can absolutely go full matching co-ord. And we love a matching moment. Worn together, it feels considered, elevated and very cool. Worn separately, they’re endlessly versatile.

They’re elasticated, drawstring, mid–high rise and designed for movement. There’s plenty of freedom through the thigh, so you’re not restricted when walking (or chasing after things!). Relaxed, but not sloppy.

And importantly — these are mid-thigh, not “bum showing”. On Hil they sit slightly higher than mid-thigh; on Sue they sit dead on mid-thigh.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

These are designed as a relaxed fit with a comfortable elasticated waist.

Sue (5'0", UK size 6) wears the UK 8. They sit right at mid-thigh on her and feel easy without being oversized.
Hil (5'3", UK 10/12) wears the UK 12. On her they sit slightly above mid-thigh but still very wearable and absolutely not too short. She likes the comfortable waist and freedom through the leg.

Because of the elasticated waistband and drawstring, there’s flexibility through the waist. Stay true to size for that relaxed, easy silhouette.

Fit Notes: Mid–high rise. Designed to sit comfortably on the waist with room through the thigh.
