  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Why We Love It

Because faux fur and a print together should not work as well as they do, and yet here we are. The Hanley Cape has that combination of being genuinely statement-making and genuinely wearable: it does not require a special occasion, it requires only that you put it on and leave the house.

And because Hil is from Stoke-on-Trent, and Hanley was where she went out raving in the nineties. Back then it was known as "going up 'Anley, duck" and if you know, you know. She feels it is only right that the cape bears the name. Sue has no idea what she is talking about, but loves the cape regardless.

Styling Suggestions

Hil wears hers over a simple dark knit and the Stanwick Barrel Cords in Dark Brown: she believes the faux fur should do the talking and everything beneath it should stay very quiet. Sue layers hers over something floaty and calls it an outfit, which is entirely on-brand for her more loosey-goosey approach to dressing. Both are right. The instructions for this cape are simply: wear it.
