The Glinda Blouse is one of those deceptively simple pieces that makes a surprisingly big impression. It’s 100% cotton in Blanc de Blanc — a beautiful, clean white — and the magic is entirely in the broderie anglaise. The yoke and short sleeves are covered in the most delicate eyelet broderie, with a gorgeous scalloped sleeve hem that gives the whole thing a feminine, slightly vintage feel without being remotely fussy.

This is a blouse that does a lot on very little effort. Wear it with your best jeans, layer it over a sundress as the evenings cool down, or tuck it into a full skirt if you’re in that mood. The 100% cotton breathes beautifully in the warmer months, and the Blanc de Blanc colourway goes with everything. At £35, it’s excellent value for a piece this pretty.

Care Instructions

Machine wash at 30°, gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry to keep the broderie looking its best. Don’t iron directly over the eyelet detail — iron the plain sections and leave the broderie alone.

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Hil is 5’3” and a size 10/12 — she takes a medium. The broderie detail draws the eye to the shoulders and arms beautifully. Sue is 5’0” and a size 6 — she’d usually need an XS, but the Glinda only comes in S, M, and L. She’d try the S; with the relaxed fit it may well work for her, though she might find it slightly roomy. If you’re usually a size 6, we’d suggest the S — and do reach out if you’d like advice on the fit.
Why We Love It

The broderie. Honestly, just the broderie. There’s something so quietly beautiful about eyelet fabric that manages to feel both classic and completely fresh. The Glinda is a blouse you’ll still be reaching for in five years.
Styling Suggestions

Hil wears her M tucked into high-waisted white or cream wide-leg trousers for a monochrome all-white summer moment — elevated, barely any effort. Sue wears her S slightly open over a delicate cami, with her cropped Keira jeans and a raffia wedge slingback for a very boho-summer look. Into autumn, layer this under a camel blazer or over a long-sleeve thermal — the broderie is too pretty to put away just because it’s a bit cold.
