The Fadile Blouse from b.young in Birch is a properly beautiful cotton blouse — the kind of piece that has enough detail to feel considered and enough simplicity to work with everything you already own.

100% cotton — soft, breathable, takes a wash beautifully. The fabric has a subtle textural weave that gives it quiet dimension and stops it reading flat.

The details are what lift this piece: a high ruffled neckline with a V-notch opening and a button-front placket, beautiful smocked embroidery across the yoke in a soft charcoal zigzag pattern (also picked up at the cuffs), and slight puff shoulders with long ruffled cuff sleeves. Feminine, subtly boho, deeply grown-up.

Birch is one of those warm cream-ivory shades that plays with absolutely everything — denim in any wash, black, navy, chocolate brown, camel, olive and every autumnal shade. Sits particularly beautifully alongside our Sue Trouser in Night Sky or Mila Trouser in Night Sky (both up on the site now) — the Birch cream against deep navy is a proper considered European tonal palette.
