Description

The Eva Faux Fur Coat in Burgundy is a proper premium-quality statement outerwear piece — a beautiful faux fur coat cut in a rich, deep burgundy, finished with gorgeous gold buttons, and shaped with a considered nod to the 1950s and early 1960s. Very Grace-Kelly-goes-to-the-races, very considered vintage-elegant.

The silhouette is where the coat earns its £111: a proper mid-century-inspired cut with structure through the shoulders and a considered sweep through the body. The gold buttons down the front are the small elevated hardware detail that turns a faux fur coat from generic-cosy into elevated-vintage.

The Burgundy is the star colour of the season on site — deep, rich, warm-jewel-toned. Plays absolutely beautifully with the whole warm-jewel colour family: our Y London Roll-Neck Asymmetric Knit in Burgundy, Roll-Neck Asymmetric Knit in Claret, our Perfect Tank in Burgundy, and the Fig / Chocolate Bean warm-jewel family.

Sizing:

  • One size
  • Fits UK 10 comfortably up to UK 14 — depending on desired fit and feel
  • Up to a UK 16 if you're happy to wear it open — as a statement piece rather than fully buttoned
  • Not one for Sue — even the one-size cut is too big on her petite frame. This is a Hil piece.
  • On Hil, it's perfect — sits and buttons exactly as the vintage silhouette intends

How Hil wears hers:

  • With her black Alder jeans from Toxik — the moody dark-denim-plus-burgundy-fur combination is beautifully considered (if you love your Toxik Rowans the Alders have the same fit)
  • With burgundy boots for the tonal head-to-toe burgundy moment
  • Or with the Y London Roll-Neck Asymmetric Knit in Burgundy underneath the coat and the same black Toxik denim — burgundy-on-burgundy, moody-elegant, quietly gorgeous

A proper investment coat that will earn its place across every considered autumn-winter for years to come.

  • Over a floaty midi dress — the coat does all the elegant work, the dress underneath softens
  • For evenings out — thrown over shoulders with heels, the coat is the entire outfit
