Description

These are not your average trousers. The Catahoula in warm brown is a knitted jacquard with proper structure: a high-rise elastic waist that actually holds its shape, a straight leg that falls clean, and a deliberately cropped 7/8 length that is very much the whole point. A flash of ankle. Done.

The catahoula dot pattern adds texture and depth without being loud about it, and the knitted construction means there's genuine give. These work as hard as they look.

One thing you must know: these come up small. Size up one from your usual.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold. Wash with similar colours. No bleach. No tumble dry. Dry hanging in shade. Iron on a maximum of 110°.

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Why We Love It

Knitted trousers are having a serious moment, and these are why. The Catahoula hits everything we want: warm without being thick, structured without being stiff, and interesting without trying too hard. The cropped 7/8 hem is intentional, by the way. On Hil it lands as a proper crop with a sliver of ankle showing. On Sue (who is considerably shorter), it just grazes her trainer and reads as full-length. Either way, it works.

Styling Suggestions

Hil wears the Asymmetric Knit in Chocolate on top, with the Salvi Lace Blouse in Dark Brown from My Essential Wardrobe layered underneath. Brown on brown on brown, but every shade and texture doing something different. She finishes with her IBU Earring Lizzy and a red lip.

Sue pairs hers with the Faye Lurex Vest Top in Plum, tucked under a Black Colour Bella Knit Cardigan. Warm chocolate trouser, rich plum, hit of lurex at the neckline. Very Sue.
