The same soft, airy, slightly fuzzy mohair-blend Casey cardigan we cannot stop reaching for — this time in a proper, lift-your-mood Sky Blue. Not a pale dusty blue, not a navy in disguise; a clear, summery cornflower with just enough depth to keep it grown-up. Cropped at the waist, open at the front, three-quarter sleeves, and that lovely loose hand-knit look that makes everything you throw it over feel a little more put-together.

From Danish brand Black Colour, who do this kind of forgiving, throw-on knitwear at a price that doesn't make you wince. The cropped length works beautifully over high-waisted jeans, summer dresses and slip skirts without adding any bulk through the middle. The open front keeps it light enough for transitional weather. And the mohair gives it that soft halo that turns a perfectly nice cardigan into a really good one.

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

One size, designed to drape: Length 54 cm (21.3") measured from the shoulder. Wears comfortably up to a UK 16+.
Hil (5'3", UK 10/12, 34EE bust, apple-shaped): The cropped length is kind to an apple shape — sits at the high waist and doesn't add bulk through the middle. Hil would wear it over something neat and fitted underneath (a fine vest or a slim roll-neck) to keep the top half from looking too soft — the cardigan's halo wants a clean line beneath it.
Sue (5'0", UK 6): Sue would live in it. At her size the cardigan will read more relaxed-cropped than fitted-cropped — which is exactly the point.
General note: Mohair blooms a little with wear — expect a soft halo of fibres around the knit, which is part of its charm.
