Description

The Brenda Lace Long Top in Dark Brown from My Essential Wardrobe is the satin cami that makes a pair of jeans feel dressed. It's cut from a soft, fluid satin in a rich, deep chocolate brown, with delicate lace trimming the V-neckline and running down the side splits at the hem. It has slim adjustable straps and a straight, easy cut that sits longer than a standard cami, down over the hip.

It's the kind of top that quietly does a lot of work. Tuck it into jeans with a jacket over the top for lunch, wear it under a knit so the lace peeps out at the neckline, or take it straight into the evening with a skirt and heels. The chocolate brown is a beautiful autumn neutral that works with denim, camel, cream, gold and black.

Care Instructions

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron on the reverse if needed.

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

True to size, with a straight, easy fit. The model is 179cm (5'10") and wears a size 38. The adjustable straps let you set the V exactly where you want it. Only one size 42 (roughly UK 14) is left.

Styling Suggestions

Hil tucks it into the Toxik Judd Barrel Jean in Mid Blue Denim and throws the Nobody's Child Tie Neck Jacket in Camel over the top. Chocolate, camel and mid-blue denim is an easy autumn trio, and the V-neck flatters her bust. For evening, she tucks it into the Soaked in Luxury Danila Skirt in Gold, chocolate satin against burnished gold.
