Hil is 5'3", UK 10/12 — she'd wear this in a M. The split neckline falls open in a way that suits her instinct for off-neck dressing, and the gathered sleeve detail is just the right amount of interest without overwhelming her frame. She'd belt this at the waist over slim-cut trousers or white linen wide-legs, with large gold hoop earrings and a bright lip. With the blue of the print, she'd lean into the Mediterranean mood and carry a woven straw bag. Very her.

Sue is 5'0", UK 6. She'd go for an XS. The gathered sleeve detail adds a little volume she can soften by layering a fine-knit long-sleeved cami beneath for cooler evenings — tipped at the hem per her usual approach. Large gold hoops, messy bun, bright red lip — and she'd carry a woven straw bag or a tan leather tote to double down on the whole Italian-summer mood. A blue this good deserves the full commitment.

Sue would pair this with dark skinny jeans, a white cami tipped below the blouse hem, and her stacked ankle boots. On a warm day she'd swap the boots for her raffia wedge slingback. Hair down, a few fine gold chains, and she's off — mentally, at least, to somewhere considerably sunnier than Cheshire.
