Description

The Alullu Scarf from Saint Tropez in Iron Melange is a properly clever little winter accessory — a soft warm scarf that can be worn two distinct ways, giving you a proper styling range from one considered £25 piece.

Way one: worn as a drapey loose scarf — looped once around the neck for a chunky collar, or thrown loose over a coat for the considered drape. The traditional way, the everyday way.

Way two — and this is the joy of it: tied and knotted around the neck as a jaunty cravat. Not a formal ascot (this is a soft wool-blend knit, not a silky formal neckerchief) — but the same considered spirit: a small, deliberate accent at the throat that says the whole outfit is put-together. Add it to a shirt collar, over a fine roll neck, or against bare skin at the neckline of a jacket.

Iron Melange is a considered mid-to-dark marled grey — the kind of steely warm-grey that reads elevated rather than flat. The melange (marled) construction gives it depth and texture, catching light differently across the weave. Plays beautifully with cream, chocolate, black, camel, denim, oatmeal, burgundy — the neutral that finishes a considered winter outfit without shouting.

Composition: 6% wool for warmth, blended with 80% polyester, 11% acrylic and 3% elastane for weight, structure and a small stretch that helps the scarf drape (or knot) rather than sit stiff. The wool content is the warmth-lift; the poly-blend gives it durability and everyday practicality.

Sits in the wider Saint Tropez autumn-winter accessory range — worn back-to-back with our new Sabey Jacket in Dark Gull Gray, Sabriel Jacket in Dark Oak and Samantha Jacket in Portabella for full considered Saint Tropez capsule dressing.

At £25 for a wool-blend two-way winter scarf in a considered neutral, an easy win.

  • Style: two-way winter scarf — wear loose as a drapey scarf, or tied and knotted as a jaunty cravat
  • Colour: Iron Melange — considered mid-to-dark marled grey with warmth in it
  • Weight: everyday winter — warm enough for the cold months, not so heavy it can't live in your handbag

  • Brand: Saint Tropez — Danish considered everyday-wear
Care Instructions
  • Follow care label on garment
  • Cool hand wash or delicate machine cycle recommended
  • Do not tumble dry — reshape and air-dry
  • Do not bleach
  • Steam or iron on low if needed
Size Guide
  • One size — sized as a generously proportioned everyday scarf
  • Wear it loose: wrapped once around the neck for a chunky collar, twice for extra warmth, or looped loose over a coat for the considered drape
  • Wear it as a cravat: tied and knotted at the neck for a jaunty accent — a considered small design moment at the throat
  • Fit note: works with roll necks, V-necks, open collars, shirt collars — the scale sits well on every frame
Why We Love It
  • The two-way wear — loose drapey scarf OR tied and knotted as a jaunty cravat. Proper styling range from one piece.
  • The Iron Melange marl — considered, elevated grey with depth and texture from the melange construction
  • The wool warmth-lift — 6% wool gives the scarf real warmth rather than reading as an all-synthetic accessory
  • Neutral that lifts everything — plays with cream, chocolate, black, camel, denim, oatmeal, burgundy
  • The Saint Tropez capsule potential — coord with the new Saint Tropez jacket family on site
  • £25 — accessible price for a wool-blend winter scarf that earns its keep two ways
Styling Suggestions
  • Hil wears it two ways: first, looped loose over her wool coat with her Toxik Birch jeans and ankle boots — traditional drapey scarf mode. Second, knotted at the throat as a jaunty cravat over a fine roll neck or crisp white shirt — the design-forward mode.
  • Sue wears it wrapped chunky at the neck over one of her drapey knits, with her Toxik Maya jeans and chunky trainers. Or knotted cravat-style at the throat against a scoop-neck tee for the everyday considered accent.
  • The cravat move: tied and knotted at the throat, worn over a shirt collar, over a fine roll neck, or against bare skin at the neckline of a jacket. Jaunty, considered, quietly design-forward.
  • Coord with the new Saint Tropez jackets: thrown or knotted over any of the Sabey (Dark Gull Gray), Sabriel (Dark Oak) or Samantha (Portabella) jackets for a considered head-to-toe Saint Tropez winter capsule.
  • Against a cream wool coat: the Iron Melange grey adds a considered anchor tone at the neckline.
  • Against a black coat: the marl adds texture and warmth against a solid dark base.
  • Into deep winter: doubled around the neck under a longline wool coat for the properly-cold-day layering.
  • As a gift: an easy £25 winter piece for anyone who needs a grown-up considered scarf that can be worn two ways.
