The Alia from Cream is a soft, easy softshell jacket in Total Eclipse Melange, a deep navy with a subtle marl that's far more interesting than plain old navy. It has a high collar with a drawstring hood, a zip and poppers (belt and braces), slanted pockets for cold hands and dog treats, and adjustable cuffs. At the back there's a clever flap that gives it a lovely little swing as you walk.
It falls to mid-thigh, so it covers your bottom without swamping you, and the relaxed, gently A-line shape layers easily over knits. One honest note: it's a softshell, not a waterproof, so it's made for blustery walks and everyday wear rather than a full Wirral downpour. Pull the hood up and keep calm.
