Description

Our much-loved Toxik Rowan, in a deep, rich navy. A quick note on the name: "Intense Navy" is our own name, not Toxik's. We've called it that to tell it apart from our Rowan Jean in Inky Navy. The Inky Navy is very much a jean, whereas this Intense Navy is more of a trouser, though you can absolutely still wear it as a jean if you like.

It's the legendary Rowan fit that so many of our customers own in several colours: a flattering high waist, big patch pockets on the front and a gentle flare that lengthens the leg without feeling overly wide. The denim is heavily pigmented with a smooth, clean finish, so, just like our Alder in Black, it reads more as a smart navy trouser. Dress it up for dinner, or wear it every day.

Hil and Sue swear by this fit. If you love your Rowans, you'll love these, and if you love your Alders, they're the same fit too.

  • This navy is very heavily pigmented, so always wash inside out
  • Always wash with a colour catcher, especially for the first few washes
  • Machine wash at 30°C
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Cool iron if needed

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

One of the most forgiving fits we stock, thanks to the exceptional stretch. Hil (5'3", UK 10/12) wears the 38. Sue (5'0", UK 6) wears the 34. Many customers size down, sometimes by up to two sizes; if you're between sizes, you'll almost certainly prefer the smaller one.
