Lily & Me is a family-run brand with a supply chain worth knowing about. Founded in 2007 by Amelia and Hari and based in the Cotswolds, they design everything in their Gloucestershire studio and manufacture it in their own factory in Kathmandu, Nepal — not outsourced, their factory, their people, their standards. That transparency is exactly why the quality is consistently this good, and why their sustainability credentials mean something. The Wickridge Textured Knit V-Neck Jumper in Sage is a beautiful example of what Lily & Me does best: a boxy, relaxed jumper worked in a classic moss stitch, with delicate cable knit detail through the front and back, a ribbed V-neckline, raglan sleeves, and deep ribbed hem and cuffs. The yarn is a recycled cotton blend — worked with cotton at its heart — and the flecked finish creates that lovely tonal variation that makes Sage look so considered on the body. Easy to layer, fits true to size, and the kind of jumper you'll be reaching for all autumn without once having to think about why.

  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Why We Love It

Because it's Lily & Me at their best — a brand that has built its entire business on knowing exactly where every piece comes from, and this is what that looks like in practice. The moss stitch gives it beautiful texture you can see and feel, the V-neck is Hil's most-loved neckline (it separates the boobs beautifully, she'll tell you herself), and Sage is one of those shades that operates as a neutral while looking like a colour choice. That the yarn is recycled, and that every stitch of this jumper was made in Lily & Me's own Kathmandu factory — that just makes the whole thing feel even better to pull on.
Styling Suggestions

Hil tucks the front of the Wickridge into her Collette flared jeans from Toxik and lets the back hang — the boxy knit is made for a half-tuck, and the Sage bounces beautifully off the light blue denim. Ankle boots, done. She considers it the season's best answer to the question of what to wear. Sue layers hers over a long-hem cami with the hem peeking through, wears it with her Keira jeans from Toxik and her stacked olive boots — the moss stitch catching the light, the sage looking exactly right against everything warm she reaches for in autumn.
