Sally Blazer, Dark Sapphire

Boy, do we love a blazer that actually does what a blazer should. The Sally Blazer from Pulz in Dark Sapphire is a beautiful fine-wale corduroy jacket in a rich, considered dark-sapphire blue — structured enough to feel grown-up, loose enough to layer properly over a knit.

The design is proper considered tailoring:

• Single-breasted two-button closure — classic, timeless
• Notched lapels — the elegant tailoring detail
• Flap pockets at the hip — functional, considered
• Long sleeves
• Sleek lined interior — proper investment-blazer construction
• Loose fit — cut generously so you can layer knits underneath without straining across the shoulders

Fabric-wise: 83% cotton, 15% viscose, 2% elastane. Cotton-led for the natural fibre credentials and the beautiful fine-wale corduroy texture, viscose blended in for drape, and a small percentage of elastane so the blazer moves with you rather than sitting stiffly. Machine washable at 30°C — proper win for a blazer that would traditionally be dry-clean-only.

Hil's styling: she'd pair this with her high-waisted Toxik denims — favourites are the Sadie, the Rowan, or the Birch (Birch is a mid straight-through-the-leg wash, not a dark denim — considered for daytime). Also lovely thrown over a knitted dress with tall boots. A blazer that does everything.

A note on Sue: Sue wouldn't wear this one. This is a loose-fit blazer, and while neither Hil nor Sue lean into fully oversized styling generally, this cut would overwhelm Sue's petite frame — she prefers her blazers fitted or at least semi-fitted. So this is a Hil-only styling.
