Pure silk is properly delicate but easy to look after. Hand wash gently in cool water with a mild detergent (a quick dunk in soapy water is all it needs). Squeeze gently — do not wring — reshape, and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight. Cool iron on a low setting if needed. Treated kindly, the silk will hold its sheen and softness for years.
