Description

Proper summer shorts. The Pia Shorts from Pieces — the Danish label that does Scandi essentials with quiet polish — land in a warm oatmeal colour with the soft, lived-in texture only a linen blend gives you. Cool, breathable, properly relaxed.

The fabric is the heart of it: 30% linen, 70% viscose. The linen gives texture, breathability and that lovely natural character you only get from a real plant fibre; the viscose smooths the hand and improves the drape, so they fall beautifully rather than sitting stiffly. Unlined, for proper coolness in real heat.

Quick family note: these share the Pia name with our Birch Melange Pia Crop Trouser, but they're a different fabric story — the trouser is a fine pinstripe, these are an unstructured oatmeal linen blend. They sit beautifully alongside the Sally Puff Knit Cardigan in the same warm tonal family for anyone building an outfit.

  • Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

  • Hil (UK 10/12, 5'3"): takes the Medium. The relaxed cut skims her shape rather than cutting in, and the linen blend stays cool through a long warm day.
  • Sue (UK 6, 5'0"): takes the XS. Easy on her petite frame.
  • General note: linen blends soften beautifully with wear. There is no stretch in the fabric itself, so size for the seated waist measurement.
