Perfect Tank, Oatmeal

The Perfect Tank from Y London in Oatmeal is exactly what its name says — a knitted V-neck layering vest cut in Y London's signature fluid-stretch fabric, and finished in the softest warm-porridge neutral that layers with absolutely everything.

Oatmeal is the warmer, more considered sister to Cream — a soft porridge-toned neutral with genuine warmth in it. Not stark, not cold, not white — a proper grown-up beige-oatmeal that reads elevated against every colour in your wardrobe, and sits particularly beautifully alongside chocolate, camel, black, denim, olive, burgundy and cream.

The design is deliberately simple: a sleeveless knitted tank with a V-neckline — Hil's favourite neckline for the way it separates the boobs and keeps the top half flattering — cut to sit not too fitted, not too loose — the happy middle-ground drape. This is the layering piece that goes over shirts and blouses — letting the underlayer's collar, cuffs and body-flash peek out around it — or worn alone with jeans, trousers or a skirt to become the outfit itself.

Fabric-wise: 50% viscose, 27% polyester, 23% polyamide — Y London's signature fluid-stretch handle that moves with the body without clinging or swamping.

A styling note on tucking: do NOT full-tuck the Perfect Tank into your bottoms — it ruins the drape. Leave it loose over the top, or if you want the high-waist illusion, do a waterfall tuck (front tucked, back left hanging).
