The Milos is a proper grown-up tailored waistcoat with a wink. Cream woven suiting fabric with a touch of stretch, sleeveless, neatly tailored through the waist, two welt flap pockets at the hip — and then, where the buttons would usually sit, four entirely different ornate gold brooches: a crystal disk, a starfish, a shell and a swallow.

And here's the clever bit: the brooches are decorative. The real fastening is a row of concealed gold press studs (poppers) running underneath, so the brooches stay perfectly placed every time you do it up.

Wear it as a top in its own right with a slim trouser, or layered over a shirt for something more structured. One thing to flag — it runs small, so size up if you're between.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Available XS through to L. Important: this runs small — size up if you're between, and don't go below your usual size.

Hil (5'3", size 10/12, 34EE bust): in the L. The round neck sits higher than her usual off-neck, but the V created by the brooch line gives her the open neckline back, and the 6% elastane gives a bit of give across the bust. The L is what she needs — don't be tempted to go smaller.
Sue (5'0", size 6): in the XS — and even at a UK 6 to 8 frame, it's a neat fit on her. That tells you everything you need to know about how small this comes up. Take your usual size at the very least.

The woven suiting has 6% elastane so there's a little stretch — enough to give, not enough to slouch. Tailored shape holds beautifully through the day.

Tailored cream waistcoats are everywhere right now — most of them entirely interchangeable. This one isn't. The mismatched gold brooch buttons are the kind of detail that gets remarked on, and a piece this elevated wearing this lightly is rarer than it should be.

Hil (size L): worn as a top over a matching cream wide-leg trouser, gold hoops, a tan heel. Or layered over a crisp white shirt for something more structured.
Sue (size XS): worn as a top over her cropped Keira jeans from Toxik with a stacked boot, layered gold necklaces tucked under the neckline, and her gold hoops.
