The Maya Top in Mist Grey Melange from Saint Tropez is a luxurious silk-blend camisole vest that quietly does the work of three wardrobe pieces. A soft cotton-silk blend (70% cotton, 30% silk) with a V-neckline finished with delicate front lace and adjustable spaghetti straps, cut in a beautiful mist grey melange that plays with almost every colour in the wardrobe.

Because it's genuinely silk-blend, it sits somewhere between camisole, layering vest, and loungewear/nightwear piece. Cool against the skin, softly fluid in the way silk always is, and elegant enough to earn its place in the bedroom drawer just as easily as the top drawer.

It's on the site in the nightwear section for a reason: layer it under a satin pyjama set for extra warmth on cold nights, or wear it as your only top with your prettiest pyjama trousers for a considered bedroom look. Daytime, layer it under a chunky jumper or cardigan and let the lace peep out at the neckline for that quiet feminine finish.

Care Instructions

Hand wash or machine wash cool on a delicate cycle inside a mesh bag. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a low temperature if needed. Lay flat to dry to preserve the silk-cotton blend and the delicate lace trim.

  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Normal fit, true to size. Stocked in XS, S, M and L (2 in each). The Maya is cut to sit close without clinging, and the adjustable straps mean you can set the neckline exactly where you want it. Between sizes, size down for a neater fit under knitwear or up for a more relaxed drape as a standalone piece.

Styling Suggestions

Hil goes multi-purpose. For daytime, she pairs it with the Toxik Judd Barrel Jean in Mid Blue Denim and pops the WoolOvers Freja Nordic Fair Isle Jumper in Sage & Cream over the top (the sage plays tonally against the mist grey for a wintry, quietly elegant edit).

For the bedroom, she layers it under the Hope & Ivy Izzy Satin Pyjamas in William Morris Print (there's only one pair left, size 14), or wears it as her only top with the William Morris pyjama trousers for the loveliest wear-to-breakfast-in-the-morning bedroom look.

Sue's version: over her Toxik Colette Floral Detail Jean in Light Blue Denim, with a Black Colour Bella Knit Cardigan in Plum layered loose over the top (plum against mist grey is a beautiful contrast, and it plays with the pinks in the floral cutouts of the Colette).
