Take a high-waisted, mildly barrel-shaped jean — the relaxed, easy cut we already know works — and add a quiet line of studs down the outside seam. That's the Harta. The wash is a soft, pale, sun-faded blue that pairs with absolutely everything in your wardrobe, and the studs catch the light just enough to feel like a little bit of jewellery for your jeans.

One thing to be very clear about: these are only very slightly cropped. We'd call them a 7/8 jean rather than a proper crop — they finish just above the ankle bone, so they show off a sandal or sit cleanly over a stacked boot, but they don't ride high up the calf the way a true crop does.

High enough at the waist to be properly useful. A holiday jean, an out-to-lunch jean, a school-run-with-flair jean.

Fit: high-waisted, mildly barrel shape — relaxed through the leg without being full wide-leg.
Length: only very slightly cropped — we'd actually call these a 7/8 jean rather than a true crop. Finishes just above the ankle bone.
Detail: a quiet line of studs running down the outside leg seam — subtle but properly present.
Pockets: classic five-pocket, button and zip fly.
Fabric: predominantly cotton denim with a touch of elastane (around 3%) for give — and there's a lot of give in these, so they relax with wear.
Colour: light blue wash — soft, pale, summer-faded.

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Sizing: Toxik runs in European numbers — 34 (UK 6), 36 (UK 8), 38 (UK 10), 40 (UK 12), 42 (UK 14).
Important fit note: there is a LOT of give in these jeans — the cotton with elastane really stretches and softens with wear. If you want a properly tight, neat fit, size down from your usual.
Hil (5'3", UK 10/12): in the 38 (not her usual 40). The give in the fabric means the 38 stretches comfortably over her tummy and the high waist still smooths and holds beautifully. She tucks in a fitted top and belts at her natural waist.
Sue (5'0", UK 6): wide-leg isn't her territory — she sticks to her Keira crops from Toxik. If she ever fancied a change, a 34 would fit.

The studs make these. They're the thing that lifts them from "another pair of crop jeans" to "the crop jeans I keep reaching for." A small detail that does a lot of work — catches the light, lifts a plain outfit, and saves you having to think too hard about accessories.

Hil (UK 10/12): With a white fitted tee tucked in, a tan belt, and either flat sandals or a low-stacked sandal. The studs do the work, so she keeps the top simple and lets her gold earrings finish it off.
Sue (UK 6): Wide-leg isn't her usual cut, but she'd admire the studs from across the shop floor and steer you toward a layered vest combo if you wanted to try them on.
