Description
The Emily Quilted Jacket from Pieces in Hot Fudge is a considered autumn-into-winter layering workhorse — the same lightly padded quilted jacket as our Carafe Bindings colourway, this time in a rich, deep chocolate-brown. Autumn is made for layering, and this one earns its place from October through to the properly cold months.
The design:
- Quilted construction — classic quilt stitching
- Spread collar — clean, wearable, doesn't fight a scarf underneath
- Button fastening — a clean, simple closure
- Side pockets — always noted, always useful
- Light padding — suitable for in-between seasons rather than deep winter
- Hot Fudge — a rich, warm chocolate-brown that sits at the heart of the bitter-chocolate winter capsule
Fabric-wise: 100% recycled polyester throughout — outer, lining and padding. The whole thing is built from recycled material with a minimum of 50% recycled content, which is a genuine sustainability credential quietly built in. Warm without weight, easy-care, and a thoughtful environmental choice.
Sizing:
- Available in XS, S, M, L
- Generous fit — the Emily is cut with layering in mind, expecting a sweater underneath
- Sue takes the XS
- Hil takes the S
How Hil wears hers — considered chocolate-and-grey, elevated-casual done gently:
- Layered over the Pieces PCFusion Colorblock Knit in Greige — the neutral colourblock knit sits beautifully under the warm chocolate quilt
- Finished with her My Essential Wardrobe DallasMW 139 High Straight Y Jeans in Light Grey Wash — the light-grey denim balances the Hot Fudge warmth and pulls the whole outfit into elevated-considered territory
How Sue wears hers — a soft, considered chocolate-and-pink move:
- With the Compañía Fantástica Adriana Trouser in Pink, in the smallest size (34) — the soft pink against Hot Fudge is a genuinely lovely warm-neutral colour play, and very Sue
Plays with the whole bitter-chocolate winter capsule on site — Y London Perfect Tank in Bitter Chocolate, Nobody's Child V-Neck Collared Jumper in Brown Striped, Sabriel Puffer in Dark Oak — and every autumn-toned neutral (camel, cream, olive, denim).
Sister colourway on site: our Emily Quilted Jacket in Carafe Bindings — same jacket in a warm-taupe body with contrast bindings. Two ways into the same layering workhorse.
