Hil is an absolute sucker for a headband, and this one is brand new in. The Delight is an extra-wide luxury headband in black velvet, hand-finished with a jewelled floral embellishment in rich ruby red, amber and soft lilac — proper statement sparkle.

It's the easiest way to look polished in seconds. Push it back on a good hair day to show it off, or pop it on to rescue a not-so-good one (Hil would like it noted that Sue got the better hair). Velvet and jewels make it perfect for the festive season, and the black base means the colours do all the talking.

How Hil wears it: with pretty much anything — the black velvet base means it goes with everything, while the jewelled colours bring a proper lift to even the simplest outfit. A brilliant one for the festive season.

And Sue? Not this time. Sue doesn't like anything on her curls: her curls do the talking. Hil, who will tell you frankly that Sue got the better hair, is very happy to add a headband instead.
