Meet the Birch Jean from TOXIK—a clean, high-rise jean with a neat straight leg that offers subtle structure and just a whisper of stretch. They’re our answer to the elusive "mum jean"—but better. After trying dozens that never quite suited us, this is the pair we reached for again and again. Designed to flatter, hold their shape, and fit comfortably through the waist and hip, the Birch Jean offers a streamlined silhouette that works from school run to supper out.

Fit: Neat high-rise with a straight leg (not a bootcut!)
Waist: High-waisted, holds you in without digging in
Fabric: 98% Cotton, 2% Elastane – natural fibres with a touch of stretch
Closure: Zip fly with button fastening
Details: Mid-blue wash with soft fading, no rips or frays – clean and classic

Machine wash at 30°C
Wash inside out with similar colours

How to Measure Yourself Correctly

Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Hil is 5'3" and a UK size 10/12. She wears the 38 in these jeans, but notes they’re a neater fit—perfect on days when she’s feeling trim. On days when she’s feeling bloated or wants a bit more ease (especially around the tummy, where she tends to carry weight), she’d size up to the 40 for added comfort without compromising the look.

Sue is 5'0" and a UK size 6. She wears the 34, her usual TOXIK size, and finds them spot-on—slim through the hip, with a flattering high waist and no gaping.

General Rule: These are less stretchy than the Rowan jeans, offering a more structured feel. If you’re between sizes or prefer extra ease at the waist, we suggest sizing up.
