Hil is 5’3” and a size 10/12 — she’s in a medium, and she’s pleased to report it buttons up beautifully with no gaping (a fact that matters more than it sounds when you have a 34EE bust — she speaks from experience). On her, the cropped length sits right at her natural waist, which she either tucks in slightly for structure or leaves open over a cami. Sue is 5’0” and a size 6 — she’d take an XS. This is a boxy, cropped style, so she’d try it open over her usual layers to see how the proportions work on her petite frame. Sizes run XS through to L.
