There are dresses that whisper and there are dresses that tell stories — the Ramona is squarely in the storytelling camp. A sleeveless column of soft cream, hand-illustrated all over with cobalt palm trees, leaping fish, a tiny diving mermaid and a scatter of starfish, it has the look of something you might find in a Mediterranean fishing village (in the very best possible way).

The cut is gloriously easy — sleeveless, round neckline, straight through the body, falling to a long ankle-length hem. No nipping, no clinging, no fussing. Just slip it on and look like a woman who knows exactly where she's going for lunch.

The print is the kind that draws compliments from strangers. Cream base, deep cobalt and sage palms, little flashes of orange — it reads as bold without being shouty. Achieve the perfect fit by following these simple measurement steps:

Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with your feed together.

Ensure the tape measure is snug, but not tight, and parallel to the floor.

Hil (5'3", UK 10/12, 34EE bust): Hil would take a size M. The straight cut skims past the tummy without any clinging, and the round neckline sits just where she likes it. At 5'3" the hem will sit at or just above the ankle — exactly right with a flat sandal.
Sue (5'0", UK 6, petite proportions): Sue would take a size S. At 5'0" the maxi length will land at the ankle or fractionally below — a small hem turn-up may be wanted, but the proportions of the print sit beautifully on a petite frame.
Stock note: This is a last-piece — only the size L remains. If you've fallen for the print, do grab it before it goes.

This is the dress that does the work for you. Pop it on, add sandals, push your hair behind your ears and you're done. The print does all the heavy lifting and the cut is unfussy and flattering — beach, garden, supper, art gallery, the lot.

Hil (UK 10/12) would wear hers with flat tan sandals, a stack of gold bangles and big hoop earrings — and she'd throw on a denim jacket the moment the temperature dropped. The straight cut means she can also belt it at her true waist with a soft tan leather belt if she fancies a bit of shape.
Sue (UK 6) would go full holiday mode with chunky white trainers, a denim jacket slung round her shoulders and her boho jewellery layered up. A wide-brim straw hat and a basket bag and she's away.
